A little stove (on left) to cook for 12 people! Chinese students came to our apartment for a Saturday lunch a few weeks ago. They brought their food to cook, and Phuong cooked a VietNam dish that day. It took over 2 hours to cook since we only had this little stove to use for the many hot dishes that were fixed. It was a great time but we learned not to have so many students if we only have the one stove. The burners are so small and close together on this stove that you cannot easily cook with 2 pans on it, they don't fit on the burners. Next time we may just carry in Pizza! The top picture shows a table full of food. It looked like a Thanksgiving dinner. By the time the last dish was ready we had to reheat everything in the microwave which took a while! We nearly ran out of dishes just to put the food in. Pans had to be washed and reused over and over again. It worked. We were all very happy and very delighted to eat such a wonderful meal. We ate about 2 hrs later than expected but it worked! By the way, there were too many of us to eat in the apartment so we ate in a larger conference room across the hall. Of course that meant carrying all the food over.
