I have to show you my surprise party. I free talk with these 5 girls during the semester. They come once a week as a group and we just talk about anything to help them improve their English. As you can see they are a lot of fun. They peeked in my office on the last week of free talk and when they saw me they came in with a lighted cake and a bottle of apple juice in a champaign looking bottle. They put a party hat on my head and gave me a thank you party for free talking with them. Such fun!! They wanted a picture so an English prof came in and took these pictures with one of the girl's cell phones. Such technology! I don't even know how to make a call on one of those things (just ask Bonnie)! The candles spelled out "I love you." They put them on the cake and then over my head for the pictures. Click on the pictures and you will see them better, I hope. The funniest part was we had nothing to drink from. I went to the water cooler and brought back some small paper cups. They laughed so hard when I brought those cups in to drink from. We did it. As we toasted I made clinking sounds which made them laugh harder. They were very sad when I told them I was going back to America this summer. When I told them I was coming back to KNU they cheered and smiled again! This kind of thing makes your day. They really love and appreciate their teachers over here. Bonnie was gone and I hated she missed it. They wanted her to join us, even though I am their teacher. Yes, I saved her one piece of cake. Sorry, I drank the juice. Memories for a lifetime. (as you can tell I have no idea how to line up pictures better, I am still learning to blog.)
