What a dud!

I guess I sent out shock waves over Facebook the other day when I wrote about "major changes." Rumors have it I am leaving Korea soon. Others say Bonnie and I are getting a divorce, hee hee. Someone thought I was becoming a Buddhist monk!

Actually, Bonnie and I are OK! Relax kids! No, I am not planning on leaving Korea, yet. And, as appealing as the idea of becoming a Buddhist monk is I don't plan on going that route, I am too old and my hair is too pretty!

So the reality is the major change has to do with our being moved from one department to another here at KNU. Sorry, what a dud after all of the excitement! That is like preparing for a major fire work display only to see sparklers being held by kids. But, many here are a little uncomfortable with these changes so my remarks were geared more toward them than to anyone else.

I am switching over to the chaplain department and will work directly under the head chaplain here. I have no idea what that means. I was told I would do English chapels (plural) and teach the staff English. Will I teach students English? I have no idea at this time.

Bonnie is being moved to the church music department. She has to teach Church Music history in English. For now, that is all she knows.
